Suffolk Poetry Society

Suffolk Poetry Society is believed to be the oldest poetry society in the UK, being formed in 1952. The purpose of the society then and now is to promote poetry throughout Suffolk by holding events and live workshops and finding original ways of presenting poetry.
As well as an e-newsletter which provides immediate promotion of events, the society publishes Twelve Rivers magazine twice a year which summarises our poetic year, prints articles, reviews and new poems from our members. There is also an additional Members Postal Portfolio providing critical feedback by post.
