Suffolk Open Studios - Member Organisations

Suffolk Open Studios is a collaborative organisation and community of artists, makers and galleries to help promote art across Suffolk for artists and art lovers.  Artists from around the county join up to create an annual month-long event in June, which aims to give visitors the chance to meet and talk to artists and galleries, discover new artworks and explore artists’ work in the setting of their own studios.  Membership for artists and galleries open in November each year for the following June and there is no selection process for artists.  Any artist who lives/works in Suffolk is eligible for membership as long as they create the artworks themselves.

Suffolk Open Studios aim to:

• Promote and support multi-site open studios events
• Promote and develop the market for high quality, locally created original art, craft and design.
• Encourage a wider public recognition and engagement with working artists.
• Promote the importance of local artists to the economic, educational and social well-being of communities.
• Support in association with local events, the career development of artists.
