CulphoMusic Between 2017 and 2019 Shingle Street Folk Band delighted audiences with their traditional and humorous folk songs and were joined on one occasion by members of the Suffolk Poetry Society to create a ‘Burns Night’ to remember. CulphoMusic offers music events from a wide range of genre – Early music, Traditional Folk, Jazz, Classical vocal and instrumental and contemporary music. Our collaboration with poets and painters provides the opportunity to create unique events to touch the heart and raise the spirit. St Botolph Church, in the Hamlet of Culpho, is a Grade II* listed Building. Dating from around the early 13th century it was restored in 1884. Much loved by its parishoners St Botolph, in addition to its regular Church services, has been host to many and varied Arts events over the years. We want to keep this lovely Church active and appreciated and CulphoMusic is one way of assuring its future. Chris Pearce Photos:

In the spring of 2019, following a concert with Ipswich Choral Society, Gillian Keith (Soprano) and Tom Randle (Tenor) visited St Botolph Church. Both Gillian and Tom were charmed by the building and its acoustics and the rest … as they say … is history.
