Reckoned to be a masterpiece from Studio Ghibli. In World War II Japan a brother
and sister travel alone as their city is firebombed. They are forced to learn a
great deal about the selfishness of adults. Harrowing, certainly, but it is
hopelessness alongside beauty, typified by the nocturnal sequence with the fireflies.
